Highlights:
Spring 2017, Principal Investigator, NSF CyberCorps Service for Scholarship (SFS) Program at UHM. Qualified Students please see the UHM SFS web site. We have a total of $5.2 millions to support up to 24 students starting Spring 2017 to Fall 2024.
Fall 2016, Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP): We started a VIP project related to UAS applications and security. The goal is to combined design projects (EE296/396/496) into an integrated project with more detailed mentoring, deeper technical skill development, and focused experience.

Departmental Security Curriculum Development
Developed a new undergraduate course, EE406 Introduction to Computer and Network Security, as a new technical elective course in computer engineering, started in Spring 2007 to present. Now EE406 is a required class for ICS Security Science Concentration in 2017. It will also be a required course for incoming EE Computer Security Concentration.
Developed a new graduate course, EE609 Computer and Network security, started in Spring 2009
Developed a new graduate course, EE693F Smart Grid (SG) Communication and Security in Fall 2013.
Planning a new Reverse Engineering course in 2018, which is a required component for NSA/DHS Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operation (CAE-CO).
