Tell me, what is it you want to do with your one wild and precious life? ~Mary Oliver
Born under the constellation of Capricornus in the year of the Fire Horse, I was destined to be stubborn and unconventional. Catholic school tried to smooth the edges of my willful nature, but it never quite succeeded (thankfully). I am happiest when I craft with my hands, sing karaoke, write in my journals, play mahjong, and binge-watch Japanese samurai films. But to pay the bills, I became a teacher; though in hindsight, I might have been better suited to the quiet magic of a library. Perhaps in my past life, I was a monk who wrote illuminated manuscripts. Aware that I am a "speck in the vast universe," here for just a moment, my ikigai is to create beauty where I can, contribute meaningfully to my profession, and build a loving flock around me who will share in my "one wild and precious life." This portfolio serves as a record of my journey thus far. Like-minded individuals are welcome into the fold.
