What will my kid be learning at this camp?

The goal of this camp is to introduce to transportation engineering and planning.  Students will also gain insight from professionals working in the field. Besides having an educational experience, we hope each student gains a memorable experience that can help them further their higher education choices. 

How long is the duration of the camp?

The camp will be held at the University of Hawaii at Manoa during the month August for 2026, for one week from August 3 (Mon) to August 7 (Fri), 2026. 

Where do I apply for future camps?

Currently, we are working on future camp programs. The website will be updated in the spring of every year with news about the upcoming summer camp. 

What are the cost of this camp for my kid to attend?

The camp is FREE to participants. For 2026, the camp is a day camp, and students will not be staying overnight on campus. All travel related costs from the Hawaiian islands will be covered. Due to the large volume of applications, only a select few will attend in person. Each selected in-person student will have no additional cost besides their required supplies. 

What will my kid need to bring to the camp?

Each student will need to bring his/her own laptop, a notepad, and a pen or pencil. Please download the required software before the start of the camp. Everything else will be provided. There will also be a packing list provided and posted on the website to aid the student in preparing for the camp.
