To show how compost is an easy aspect of soil, show how easy it is to make compost, show how beneficial compost is on the soil and what benefits it has to offer, show the relationship compost has with the soil, and overall show how what we think is not useful may actually be useful (tying into the topic of sustainability).
Researching data on the different types of compost/ different types of nutrients (NPK)
Complete DNA Testing with ‘Aina Informatics to identify the bacterial components in the soil
Conducting NPK Soil Test Kits on 4 plots
Set up a food scrap/egg shell collecting contest in a Hawaiian Immersion Class
Identifying the benefits that each type of compost has on soil to improve food productivity
Presenting our project, data, and findings to our community at the Kupulau Festival
