Agreement form to become a lab user: https://forms.gle/1x1gRenvq8deYyk37
Becoming a LAE lab user
If you want to use lab facilities, reserve a room, check out equipment, or access our licensed corpora, you must join the labs as an active lab user. Lab users who are students should be working closely with a faculty member.
The first step is to read carefully and fill out the agreement form. A LAE Labs staffer will contact you via email with the next steps, including a link to the user guidelines quiz, which you must pass before you become an active lab user. This quiz will take approximately thirty minutes. It can be taken multiple times, but only once per day. It is recommended that you begin the process of becoming a LAE Labs user at least two weeks before planning to use the labs' resources.
It is not possible to become a lab user or to check out/return equipment outside of term time (e.g., during summer months). If you need to use lab equipment during these times, please plan ahead.
If you have any questions, please contact the lab GAs at laelabs [at] hawaii [dot] edu.
Lab Requests
All lab-related requests (including the installation of software, moving of equipment, access to corpora, and reservation of lab space) should be requested via email (laelabs [at] hawaii [dot] edu).
Requests can be processed most easily and quickly if there is a relevant subject line and you state concisely what you will need, when you will need it, and what it is for (e.g., your dissertation project). Please note that the LAE Labs email inbox is monitored by the Lab GAs on a rotating basis. It may take a few days for the relevant person to have the chance to get to your request. In cases where the request involves coordination among several lab volunteers, it can take much longer to get back to you. Mahalo for your understanding!
