Twelve educators at the beginning of their ʻāina education journeys spent two days together exploring the potential of ʻāina-based learning in school gardens. We planted an herb garden, started two compost systems, and learned from experts on various school garden success strategies—marking the first of many teacher professional development workshops to come. Mahalo to guest presenters Dani Espiritu, Melody Halzel, Joe Wat, and Debbie Millikan for sharing ʻike with our kumu!
