Ground Travel
Upon arrival to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), students will need to travel to the Aqua Palms Waikiki:
1) Uber/Lyft (ride share apps) are commonly used options. You will need to download one of these apps on your phone to use these services. Payment is managed through the app.
This link will automatically download a pdf of the ride share app pickup locations at HNL.
or
2) Taxi Service is also available at HNL and does not require a phone app. You can find this service on the center median at the front of the terminal baggage claim areas. Taxi dispatchers (those who will call your cab) wear yellow shirts with black lettering, and the wording “TAXI DISPATCHER” on them. Payment is usually accepted in either cash or credit card, but it is best to check before accepting services.
Route from HNL to Aqua Palms Waikiki shown on left.
Hotel arrival
Students are booked into shared rooms at the Aqua Palms Waikiki. The first student to arrive will check into the hotel room, which may require a credit card to hold for 'incidentals.' This card will not be charged, assuming nothing is damaged in the room (e.g. breaking a lamp) or purchased using the room (e.g. food purchases made via room service). Please feel free to coordinate the arrival process with your roommate, if you wish. If you anticipate issues with a check-in credit card, please contact the school organizers as soon as possible.
