How to Earn House Points?
Throughout the school year, students work together to earn house points for their houses and they can earn these points by demonstrating positive or improved behaviour, excelling in their academics or winning sports tournaments/house challenges.

In Havil, nominated students will get a chance to spin the magical House Points Wheel to earn BONUS points for their house! This may take place two to four times in a school year.

Points must be earned, not given.
Points are given on a daily basis to highlight positive behaviour. It is something that students do without being told/exceed expectations. This is to highlight to the rest of the class what positive behaviour looks like.
House points will NOT be given to staff or parents.
No negative points. Once points are given, they cannot be taken away as a form of punishment.

House points are awarded to students via an app called ClassDojo. The app displays a set of positive behaviour traits with different points.

All teachers and administrative staff can award points to any student! Everyone is a part of the community and we hope to maintain a consistent expectation in our school by awarding house points together.
