Jonathan Schneider

These pieces were done over the course of the last few years. I suppose they were inspired by my early years at Haverford (maybe around 1983-1985), when I had an interest in graffiti. Back then, I would feel like a certified gangster by crouching behind a WaWa dumpster and quickly scribbling something with a black sharpie. I would roll with the likes of 'Cool Cat' and 'Quad'. Since this does involve criminal activity, I must keep the identity of Scott Rauch and Andrew Mower anonymous.

As time went by, I had more of an interest in creating art in a sketch pad rather than a dumpster. The medium I like to use, as in these pieces, are black sharpies and high quality Prismacolor

markers.

These days I am an English teacher in Boston, and married to a profoundly wonderful woman. I haven't had much time to do artwork in the recent past, but do hope to soon...
