Grade 6 ELA

Mission Statement: The mission of the Hauppauge Middle School 6^th grade English Language Arts program is prepare students to transition to the rigors of a secondary education guided by a balanced literacy program aligned with Teachers College Reading and Writing Project and the New York State Standards. Through the use of multiple genres we will develop reading and writing skills that will in turn foster life-long learners and dynamic precise communicators.
