7p8 Makey Makey

Using Makey Makey, I created a controller for games because I wanted to see how hard it is to play games with a playdough controller.

During this process, I learned how to make a playdough controller.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I used my knowledge to make a controller out of Makey Makey and playdough. I made all of the setups using my knowledge and the website. There were many things I could've done but I choose to make a controller instead.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the controls to work. I was able to do it by asking around and getting the wires in the right spot.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change timeframe. The reason why I would change it is because if I had more time I would have more fun and more ideas.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in programing/creating controllers. Controllers and remotes for any electronics.
