revers engineering 2 p-9

For my 9th project i decided to do reverse engineering. I took apart a Hp Compaq nc6320. This model i believe is from 2006. It was refurbished i 2008. The first thing i did was i took of the back so that i could get to the hard drive so that i could smash it. Then i took off the CD player. then the keyboard and screen and so on.

During this process, I learned that a laptop is a lot more complex than i thought it was. I thought that there was only like a few thing that had to go into it but honestly there is like layers of the hardware. I also leaned the difference between hardware and software. The difference is, hardware is everything you can touche like the screen that you are looking at or the mouse that your used to click on this page. But software is everything that you can't touch like the coding for the website or the things that are on a hard drive.

Some standers my project tied to are, knowledge constructor i researched what each thing that i labeled did and i learned many thing about a phone in the process. Also digital citizen because i am using the web to publicize my website which i am recording what all i do in my project.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the screen off of the computer. it was really hard because there were screws in it that i didn't have the right screw driver for it. So it was quite difficult. I overcame this by ripping it off. Another challenge i faced was trying to get the back off of the laptop. I overcame this by gently prying it open after i took out all the screws. But i ended up having to crack it in some spots.

Something I would change would be, i would have brought in the right kind of screwdriver. The reason why I would change it is because i would start getting somewhere with the project then i would have one of the wired screws and most of the time i couldn't get it out so i would have to rip the part of that i was trying to unscrew.

This could help with many thing in the workforce such as, if you were in computer design, you would need to know what a computer looks like inside and what all the different things do inside the computer.
