For my 7th project i used a micro bit. I technically did 2 projects but one was so that i could test out how the micro bit worked. The first one that i did was programming my micro bit to play rock, paper, scissors. My 2nd project was i programmed and wired a micro bit to change light on command.
Something i learned was how to wire things to do what you what them to do. Like how all the different wires have to in a certain place or they wont work and that you need different kinds of resistors.
Some standers that my project are tied to are creative communicator because i used a computing platform or a digital platform to help me create a code in to meet my objective of making the light change colors. Another stander that my project tied to is digital citizen because i used google sites to publish and create my own website to display my work.
A challenge that i overcame was figuring out how to wire all the different things to do what i what. I struggled with this because i couldn't see what the numbers where so i didn't know where to put the different wires and things like that. Also another thing that i struggled with was the coding because i couldn't find some of the different segments to the code and it was frustrating.
Something i would do different is i would do a harder project with it. Because i didn't feel as though i was pushing myself. I also would do a project with something spinning because that sounds like it would be fun to work with.
This could help you in the future with things like engineering and being a electrician. If you were a engineer then you would then both coding and wiring would help. But if you were a electrician you would benefit from the wiring aspect.
