Design thinking is taking what you know and have to search a solution for something or someone. Design Thinking has five steps. The five steps of the Design Thinking process are 1. Empathize - learn about the person/audience (person that needs help) 2. Define - make an idea based on the person/audience's needs 3. Ideate - brainstorm/think of a solution 4. Prototype - make something based on your ideas 5. Test - test the creation. With Design Thinking, you try and create the best solution possible by going through the five step process (which may happen more than once), and trying to be the most successful with the solution. The point of design thinking is to make problem solving better, or change the way you look at problems so you can solve to someone's liking.
