This is a time lapse video of me using the maze and trying to revise and continue programming the dash. This was a time lapse over about 15 minutes even though I spent a lot longer programming, and revising it than that.
This is the final product of my dash that I programmed going through the cardboard maze.

For my coding project at first I had no idea what to do. I had already used the spheros and didn't have any other ideas. I started brainstorming possible, random things I could do. I finally decided on taking two dash's and making them race through a maze. I then was suggested to race a dash and a sphero through a maze and time them to see who was faster. An old and new version. I used a pre-made maze and started getting to work on programming it, After a very long hour of not getting very far I decided it would be too much work to program two seperate projects and decided to save the idea for another time.
After a lot if thinking, the final project idea was decided upon. To program a dash robot to go through a long maze. I had a pre-made cardboard maze already available to me. I chose the best route on the maze to go through and started learning how to program it with the help of a youtube video and classmates. I then used an ipad to use the dash programming app and started. It took many class periods to finally program it to go through the maze correctly. I used a seperate ipad to record a time lapse and take pictures and videos.
During this project I learned a lot. For any of my past projects I had not yet used an actual programming app to program anything. So I learned how to use the app and make the dash do what I wanted it to. It took a lot of experimenting. I also learned a lot of patience since it took a lot of trial and error.
There are several standards my project could be. That includes Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project however is tied to being an empowered learner, and a computational thinker. This is because I learned a lot and adjusted and I coded a dash completely by myself.
There was many challenges I overcame. I came into this not having a clue how to program. But despite learning that, I wanted to give up so many times. I spent almost every minute of class time I had Tuesday through Friday. It took so long to get it how I wanted it to, and it still wasn't perfect. It took a lot of patience as well but I overcame it all.
Something I would do differently is to spend more time perfecting it so it looked better overall and was in the lines. I would have also made sure the lines drawn on the cardboard were straight and a little bit wider to fit the dash.
At the highschool, for their CTE programs they offer Digital Multimedia, Agriculture, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, Culinary Arts, Construction Trades, Computer Programming, and Business Management. The CTE programs at the highschool that my project connects to is, computer programming and digital multimedia. A career my project connects to is since the world is advancing, more and more machines are replacing humans, so I could program these machines.
These are screenshots of my code that I made. It was so long, that I had to insert two screenshots of it.
