This is our final project for the TCU commercial.
Dekota and I decided for our marketing project that we would create a commercial for TCU's teen debit cards. We came up with a list of possible ideas and chose to make it as realistic as possible. We set up the camera with a tripod and started recording. We even tried using a green screen.
We learned how to edit and set up cameras to get the most realistic angle. We also gained some professional experience with emailing the company conducting this contest for a commercial.
The standards our project is tied to is we became empowered learners by completely coming up with a commercial by scratch. We were creative communicators by working together and with a company. We were also innovative designers by constructing scenes and planning it all ourselves.
A challenge we overcame was being limited to film a commercial in the school with only the props we had available to us. We also only had us available for the filming process.
Something I would do differently would be to next time use an actual store and better props, since we only could film in our school.
A career connected to this could not only be acting but, filming, directing, and editing. A CTE connection to this project is marketing and business management.
