7P1 - "Video Project"

Reflection:

• Using a Computer, Ipad, music, and a microphone, I created a video with my vacation in it because I had a lot of fun hiking with my family during the vacation. I decided to put things that I wanted to be, and things that I enjoyed doing. I also put in basketball because it's my favorite sport and I have fun playing it with friends.

• During this process, I learned how to search for non-copyrighted images. I also learned about the Ken Burn effect to make my video editing look better. I also learned how to make a voice over on an iPad.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I took an active role in what I made. It also connected to the Ditgital Citizen Standard because I was able to find non-copyrighted images and was safe online .

• A challenge I overcame on this project was getting my video on my website. I was able to do it by listening to the teacher and the understand how to do it. This was helpful because I wouldn't know how to add pictures or edit it that well.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change my voice over. The reason why I would change it is because I was a little sick while I did it and my voice didn't sound loud enough. I would also change my editing so it flows better.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to it because I had to make a video and put it on a website.

• My project connects to careers in animation because I had to put pictures in a video and make it look good. It also connects to a film director because I had to choose what was in my video. It would also connect to an editor because I had to edit my video to make it look good.
