Using Sphero Edu I made a code to have a Sphero Bolt find it's way through the maze, I did this by testing my problem solving skills as well as use my skills to handle the frustration which was quite testing through this process.
After about two days of constant work and testing my partner and I finally got it to go in and out the maze correctly. During this process I learned how to correctly operate Sphero Edu. Though coding is not always my strong suit I took time to learn, and excel to get the robot through the maze.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because though the project was difficult to get through, I still managed to overcome the frustration, and time restraints to get the Sphero through the maze the correct way.
A challenge I overcame this project was the simple specificity of it all. In the rectangle that we had to create the biggest difficulty was trying to get it in the same spot every time in order to be sure that it would end up making the correct shape.
Given a chance to do this project again I would try to do a more difficult shape and make it alot cooler to watch.
This project connects to careers in the field of coding a robot to deactivate a bomb in the military.
