Using the tinker cad website my PC , I created a book that can hold things inside it. I made this because as i was brainstorming i saw that quite a lot of people were making some type of cup and i wanted to create something that could hold stuff but still be original. Then i came up with the idea of making a book and it seamed fun to do.
During this process, I learned how to line up the lid on an object in tinker cad. Since i have used tinker cad before it seamed like it would be an easy project. So i wanted to fiddle around with it a little bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer, because i was designing and creating a book with a lid so i had to get creative. My project also ties to being a global collaborator.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how to line up the lid with the opening in the book. I was able to do it by adding a hole block . i also had to lay the lid over the rest of the book and individually put each part on so it would line up.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what i made. The reason why I would change it is because i think it would be fun to create something new. Also if i could make it bigger i would.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the , Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Structural Designer. It ties to this job because it invaluable 3D designs. My project also ties to being a textile print designer.
