Using a robot, I created 4 different challenges because I wanted a good grade on this project.
During this process, I learned how to use a robot.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I solved the challenges.
A challenge I overcame on this project was doing my math right. I was able to do it by looking the way the robot was and then making the angle right.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way we made our slingshot. The reason why I would change it is because it didn't go to far.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in robotics.
Daily Log-
Day 1-I started my list of 25.
Day 2-I finished my list of 25 and started to mess around with my robot.
Day 3-I messed around with my robot a little bit more, then I started to do the 4 challenges.
Day 4-I started with the challenge of using a Dash to fling a tire.
Day 5-I quickly finished the Dash project, then made a party bomb with a Sphero Bolt.
Day 6-I made a Sphero Mini go in a square that will never end, then I started spelling the first 3 letters of my name with a iRobot.
Day 7-I was still making the first 3 letters of my name.
Day 8-I was still making the first 3 letters of my name.
Day 9-I finished making the first 3 letters of my name, and then I started to finish my reflection
Day 10-I finished my project.
