Daily Log
Day 1: I started my project. I made my list of 25.
Day 2: I got my micro bit out a start to program it I tried to program flappy bird.
Day 3: I continued to try and program flappy bird but I couldn't figure out how to make it all move. So I decided to try something that was easier.
Day 4: I was trying to decide what to make, then I decided to make a love meter.
Day 5: I finished the love meter, then I decided to make a step counter. that didn't really go to plan because the micro bit wouldn't count my steps.
Day 6: Since the step counter didn't work I decided to make a counter that went from 0-100.
Day 7: I created a die and spent most of the hour trying to figure out how to make it so the numbers would roll randomly and not in order from 1-6.
Day 8: I created a level that had a smiley face if it was level and a frowny face if it was unlevel
Day 9: I tried to make the step counter again but it had the exact same problem as before.
Day 10: Me and Logan made a baseball game of catch were we could throw a ball back and fourth
Here we are are making a game of catch.
This is a image of our code.
Using a micro bit i was able to create a bunch of codes, I created a level, a die, a game of catch because we were doing a project.
During this process, I learned how to use a micro bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to digital citizen. It ties to digital citizen because I created my codes online.
A challenge I overcame on this project was concentration. I was able to do it by zoning out on anyone who was near me and focused on my coding. And also being interest in the the project
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the codes I did. The reason why I would change it is because they were to easy. I wanted to make some more complicated codes.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in computer developer.
