Using the app and machine Cricut, I created an amazing harry potter design from the book series and movie franchise because i thought it would be cool to share my interests and made something about what I like.
During this process, I learned how to use Cricut and make cool designs for different stuff I also learned more about how Mr Renners class works as this project is my first project that I have done on my own.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner, Knowledge constructor, Computational thinker and Global Collaborator because I chose to work on I project with little intel and I got through it and i used Cricut, i learned how to make a design and I made my own account on Cricut.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to use the machine part of designing my design. I was able to do it by watching videos and doing test runs to see if it worked and changing anything that didn't.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way my design looked, for example I would add more color instead of it just being orange and I would add more creativity. The reason why I would change it is because I would know how to do it properly the second time instead of trial and error.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in appliance designing because not only can a businesses help you make your own personal design but it can go on a notebook, t-shirt, mug, water bottle and many other house hold objects for you to make your own.
