7p1  -  Video Project

Using iPads, iMovie, Creative Common images, and my Pc, I created a movie about my pets and what I will do when I'm older because I want to show people about myself.

During this process, I learned how to find Creative Commons image, used iMovie to edit and create my move about myself. Also to learn how to put sound affects and voice over recordings into this project.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I was actively leaning to do things on my own, and make my own decisions. Also to be able to choose what to do or create things on my own.

A challenge I overcame on this project was making the images the right size and shape to get it to fit in correctly. I was able to do it by trying different tools and trying over and over again.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the images. I would change the images because I think there were better options, and to find images that fit better in the movie. The reason why I would change it is because some other images could have fit better in the movie slots. Also make the movie look more natural.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in video editors because video editors arrange video clips, and audio which we did in this project.
