Using the Micro
I created several projects , I created Flappy Bird, Snap the Dot, and Rock Paper Scissors. because I wanted to explore different games rather than focusing all my time on just one. This variety helped me learn new coding techniques and kept the process exciting and fun! Overall, it was a great way to enhance my skills while having a lot of fun.
During this process, I learned just how versatile the micro can be for coding. I explored various projects and discovered that I can create a wide range of applications with it. Each experiment opened my eyes to new possibilities and helped me enhance my coding skills. This experience has been both educational and exciting, showing me the potential of using a micro.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because _ have the freedom to choose how to create with the micro.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting stuck on some coding aspects. I was able to do it by tutorial videos that specifically addressed the projects I was working on. These resources provided the guidance I needed to troubleshoot and understand the coding better. Ultimately, this approach not only helped me progress but also deepened my understanding of the coding concepts involved.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change flappy bird. The reason why I would change it is because it took up a significant amount of my time, leaving me with only a few days to work on it. If I hadn't dedicated so much time to that one game, I could have explored and developed more games on the micro.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in CNC Programmer Emerald Resource Group because This focus aligns with the technical expertise required in CNC programming, where precision and attention to detail are essential. By developing my programming abilities through this project, I am better preparing myself for a future in this field. Ultimately, I believe this experience will be valuable in pursuing a career in CNC programming.
