Circuit Playground Express

Daily Log:

Every day that you work on your project you need to tell me what you did and most days have at least one picture.  Example: “Day One - worked on my list of 10 Good Ideas while Googling about …” 

Day 1: I created a slide for this project and thought about what i could do.

Day 2: I tried to figure out how to use it and tried everything

Day 3: I kept adding color to it to make it look cooler

Day 4: I added music and more colors to make it pretty how I like it.

• Using a coding site, I made my favorite colors go in a circle and then turn into galaxy colors on the micro bit because I thought it would be pretty cool to do.

• During this process, I learned how to code on this micro bit.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I used my creativity to  create the colors on the micro bit.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was my project kept deleting. I was able to do it by pulling up pictures from the day before and recreating it.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the music. The reason why I would change it is because I think the colors and lights are really boring.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

• My project connects to careers in data scientists because they program on computers.
