7P4- Augmented Reality

Using CoSpaces, iPad, a merge cube, & a computer, I created a story about a war between grandmamas and gerbils because I think it is absolutely hilarious and funny. I think it's funny because its stupid and random.

During this process, I learned how to add different things to a digital block and then have it appear on a block off an iPad screen. I learned how to do this by following directions given by my teacher. This is helpful to me because I can make things in the digital world which can help me get jobs in certain areas that are not in the usual.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I am sharing everything i did with this project to anyone in the world. I am sharing the pictures of my project, the video of my project, and the things I did everyday with my project.

A challenge I overcame on this project was how to move the block around without misplacing everything else. I was able to do it by asking some people how to do it. They told me what to press and what I did wrong so I could fix the problem I had that made it so I was unable to move the things I needed to. I also looked at the instruction video to help me also.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how many things I added to it. The reason why I would change it is because everything was laggy when I tried to open the program to edit my creation. With it lagging the way it was, opening the program took way to long and whenever I tried to play the project it would just sit and load which slowed down my process of making the creation.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the  Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in web designing  because you create websites and things on the internet which involves having to code and know how to use different softwares and programs to make those.
