Today we decided on making a Titanic model. We cut out the side for it and will be working more on it tommorow.

Using cardboard, hot glue, scissors, iPads, pencils, & paint, I created a model of the Titanic because it is something I find really interesting. It also was a unique idea.
During this process, I learned
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we created our own model not going off anyone else's design.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making a design for the lifeboats. I was able to do it by trying different ways to make them. We tried a few different ways to get the lifeboats to look as accurate as possible..
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how it was painted. The reason why I would change it is because we didn't have much time to paint it and it turned out a little sloppy when we got to the smoke stacks.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in 3D model making because making a model of something out of cardboard it is making a 3D model of something.
