7P6 - Robots

Reflections

• Using robots and an iPad, I created codes that will make robots do different challenges because I wanted to learn about how robot coding and how they work. The robots could do different things like throwing a Lego wheel, blowing up like a bomb, and changing different colors. We made the catapult out of Legos.

• During this process, I learned that robots are hard to work with. When I was working with the dash's code I didn't know how to make the code work at the time but then i learned how to code it. Also some of the robots wouldn't connect to the iPad.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because all of my ideas are creative and original. The problems I overcame were not making the code right and not being able to connect to the robot.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to code the robots. I was able to do it by getting help from maxson Then he helped me until he had to do something else.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much time I had to do this. The reason why I would change it is because I could have enough time to do all of the projects.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Technical Education CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in designing the code for robots that preforms various tricks and moves.
