In this project I will be working in a team of three including myself.
The materials we will need for this project are cardboard, duct tape, hot glue, scissors, and some paper.
Our plan to create our project is to create a cabin with a opening roof to put a sofa and two chairs in for some decoration our plan is to create the cabin out of cardboard and popsicle sticks. The two chairs will be made out of paper and hot glue or tape.
The unique qualities out project will have is we will have put a lot of time in the inside and outside of our design, our design will be fortified and strong.
Using some cardboard, tape, and popsicle sticks me and my team created a cabin, we created this because we need to create a design for our class's design challenge so we created a cabin.
During this process, I learned how to work well with my team and collaborate with my team to create our idea and work together to create it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovated designer because I am using something that has already been used and turning it into something else like cardboard.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having to work with a team when I work by myself when doing projects. I was able to do it by talking to my group and working through our different ideas and problems.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change our design into something more time manageable and something that looks nice but is time manageable. The reason why I would change it is that on the last day I and my team struggled to get the last wall and tiny details to finish our project.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offer Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in building, constructing architecture, and civil engineering.
we cut out 5 9-9 inch squares for a floor and walls.
We added more detail mainly including popsicle stick's on the outside.
This is our finished design of the cabin we built for our design challenge.
