I built a small, one room house. Inside, there is a bed and a bench. I put glow stones on the ceiling to illuminate the inside of my house.
I learned how to code my agent to build things in Minecraft. I also learned problem solving skills because I had to figure out how to fix things when there was an error in my code.
This project is tied to several of the MITECS standards. I believe that these include Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, and Creative Communicator.
I'd had no experience with Minecraft before this project. I had to learn how to play Minecraft, and learn how to code with the agent. I overcame this challenge by reading some of the tips and instructions that I found within Minecraft. I also did the agent tutorial world and the coding tutorial that come up when you open the code builder in Minecraft.
If I had to do something different, I would probably make a larger and more interesting house. I might make my house more than one rood, or even more than one story. I would also probably add something around the house, such as a pool or garden or something.
The skills learned in this project might be useful if I wanted to go into something having to do with building. I might be able to use something I learned from this project when doing the layout for a house or some sort of modeling.
