Empowered learner means you can create personal learning goals and use appropriate digital tools to accomplish those goals, and you can reflect on whether you achieved your goals or not. It also means that you can tell if you’re making progress to complete your goal, and you can find/use the tools on a computer or any mobile device and you can also learn how a technology tool works by exploring its features.
Digital Citizen
Digital citizen means you can responsibly choose what to share and not share on the internet and realize how sharing information online creates a digital footprint and can leave a trail online. You can also explain how you know that once you post something or share information online you can not delete it and it will end up staying there forever. Lastly, you can use netiquette when communicating online with other people and knowing you should not leave rude stuff online and it should just be positive.
Knowledge Constructor
Knowledge constructor means you can use a search engine to find information online and you can use online catalogs and databases for research. You can also use a browser’s history feature to locate previously used visited websites. Finally you can ask questions about a topic that helps your research and you can explore the real-world issues that are happening and understand them.
Innovative Designer
Innovative designer means you can use technology to communicate with others outside of school to help identify and understand a global topic, use a variety of digital tools and resources to identify and solve authentic problems in a new, useful or imaginative way using design thinking, and lastly you can ask questions about an authentic topic.
Computational Thinker
Computational thinker means you can use technology tools to show the answers to a problem you solved, you can identify and select appropriate digital tools to analyze and explore answers/solutions, you can identify the most important information in a problem, utilize age appropriate digital tools to collect data design, code, test and verify possible solutions, collect and represent data to discuss results and share conclusions.
Creative Communicator
Creative communicator means you can evaluate and utilize the features and functions of a variety of digital tools and platforms to create, share, and communicate content effectively, you can choose the best digital tool to share your work with others, you can use parts of other works to create a new original work/remix digital content responsibly into new, creative work, and finally you can give credit to the component authors in a collaborative creation/you can explain how to use other works in a way that does not infringe on copyright and intellectual property rules.
Global Collaborator
Global collaborator means you can use a digital tool to interact with others, use digital tools to broaden your perspectives and enrich your learning and working effectively with local and global teams, you can use digital tools to develop an understanding of different perspectives, you can connect with your peers using collaborative technologies, contribute and commit to team goals and determine role on the team based on knowledge of digital tools and content, as well as personal preference.
