Using legos and an iPad, I created an animal shelter because it"s a positive social interaction and it seemed fun to do.

During this process, I learned that you have to constantly take pictures or you will get behind really quick.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we had to design the animal shelter.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting behind on taking pictures. I was able to do it by going in for lunch and spending extra time on the project.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time it took for us to make the video. The reason why I would change it is because we got behind on taking pictures and we needed to take way more than we had.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital multimedia  CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in designing or building because that is what we had to do in this project to make our animal shelter.
