Using tools and a broken computer, I created a reverse engineering slide that showed the parts that we took put of the computer. Because of this I learned the parts of the computer and whats inside of them.
During this process, I learned I learned how take apart a computer. I also learned what parts were inside of a computer, and the screen has certain chemicals inside. I also learned to not work with a certain student.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I got to pick what project I wanted to do and also got to pick where the pictures go and what to do with the slides.
A challenge I overcame on this project was working with the group. I was able to do it by dealing with them and not listening to what they had to say. Another challenge I overcame was making the screws come off. I was able to do this by taking all of the screw drivers and trying them out to see which one works.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the people I was working with. The reason why I would change it is because they were being annoying and they weren't working productively.
This project connect to careers in engineering. The reason why was because you were taking apart a computer and figuring out the parts. I also was called reverse engineering.

this is our slide show for reverse engineering a computer for our steam project.
