• Using tin foil and 3d printing, I created 2 boats 1 out of tin foil that held 382 pennies and one out of 3d printing that we created with my group that held 245 pennies. because we had to create a project this helps with coroperating with other people and learning what things work and what things dont.
• During this process, I learned alot some of tho things are the boat struture and how it performs.so about the strutre is the boat has to be wide i learned that the wider boats worked better than the skinny boats failed and tall boats wide with a little tallness and it will do good.the perfornets of the boats i you want to put pennies in certain spots to even it out that will also make your boat go exelent.
• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because we created somthing that would be fun and somthing we thought hwould work and didnt take it serousily of how our boat looked.
• A challenge I overcame on this project was howto create the boat and how well it would float. I was able to do it by looking at others and getting an idea of how i wanted the boat to be formed.
• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how are boat was shaped. The reason why I would change it is because our boat didnt have enough space for the pennies and we didnt get the best spot.
• This project connect to careers in in designing and making new boats.
