Here are images of my whole coding process. Since this is my first time coding with CoSpaces, I didn't know how to use it very well, so it's pretty simple, but I reuse the same codes multiple times throughout it. My order of controls is up key 2x, click girl/ hover over the bathtub at the same time, wait a couple seconds, backspace, click up key 4x, click girl, up key 1x, click space, click girl, up key 1x, click girl, up key 4x, space key, up 5x, click girl, then up 3x to where the girl then exits the screen.
Here is a video of my CoSpaces world with all of the coding.
Using CoSpaces, I created a scene of rooms that would be in a house, but outside the house. I made this because I’ve never really coded on CoSpaces before, and I wasn’t sure what to do and saw all the housing options, but wanted to do something kind of random that doesn’t make much sense/ something “surreal”. I had the house in the corner, then outside I made a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room.
During this process, I learned how to use CoSpaces, since I’ve never used it before this project. I kind of just messed around with the controls and figured it out mostly on my own. I didn’t really have a plan on what to do, but I knew I wanted to do something that wasn’t realistic (the rooms outside the house).
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I made the whole world from scratch and came up with it all by myself. I think my project also ties to Digital Citizen because I made the world online and used coding online.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to use the website and how to code with it. I was able to do it by playing around with the coding and controls until I figured out how to do what I was trying to do. For some things, I had to look up how to do the coding because I wasn’t sure what it would be called in the coding options, so I had trouble finding it, but eventually figured it all out.
Given a chance to do this again, I would definitely have more coding in my world. The reason why I would change it is because I initially thought I’d have a lot more coding, but I wasn’t experienced enough with the controls to have very much more, since I’m still not great with all of the controls and coding. If I knew how to expand with this website, I would've added a lot more for sure.
