Using a computer and a app and some stuff from class, I created makey makey projects that were a aluminum piano,a playdo pacman controller because they conduct electricity and allow you to do the thing on screen .
During this process, I learned what conducts electricity and how to play a piano with playdo.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because because i have high self-efficacy, a positive learner identity, emotional intelligence, social awareness and the skills and know-how to take on worthy goals and challenges.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how to use the buttons. I was able to do it by attaching the master controller to myself.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how i attached it. The reason why I would change it is because it got in the way sometimes.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design because i included problem solving processes such as, for example, determining your objectives and constraints, prototyping, testing and evaluation. , CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering Design because i use steps and figure out the problem to make it work.
