7p6 robot coding project

• Using a dash bot with a iPad and some Legos, I created a catapult that will launch a tire because it will be super fun,cool,and exciting .

• During this process, I learned how to use a robot to make sounds, move its head, and how to launch a tire.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was how to build the catapult. I was able to do it by looking at pictures and reading about catapults.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the tire was propelled. The reason why I would change it is because did not fly as far as wanted.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming because I learned how to program a CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in coding robots because we code the robots to do flashy lights and to throw tires and to write words.
