• Using the 3D printer, I created a butterfly figurine because I wanted to make something bigger than my first project to improve the size of it.

• During this process, I learned how to make my object bigger or smaller and how to send an STL file.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because I learned how to use tinker cad and a 3D printer by asking questions

• A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to change the dimensions on my object and make it bigger or smaller. I was able to do it by asking questions.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the thickness of my object . The reason why I would change it is because it was not very thick and I have to be careful with it.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in mechanical engineering because mechanical engineers design all sorts of different products.
