• Using the 3D printer, I created a jewelry tray because I needed a place to put my jewelry and I wanted to do something simple and small because I wanted to learn how to use a 3D printer.

• During this process, I learned how to use tinker cad, how to change the size of my object and how to send an STL file to create my 3D print.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because

• A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to use different kinds of technology. I was able to do it by asking questions.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of my object. The reason why I would change it is because it was very small and I didn't look at the dimensions because I didn't know how to do it yet.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in mechanical engineering because mechanical engineers design all sorts of different products.
