Using Bloxels, I created a Star Wars three level game course with different obstacles to overcome to get to the next level because the project was to create a game out of bloxels.
During this process, I learned what different blocks mean on the game board. I learned how to take pictures to be able to communicate with the I-pad app to play the game on the I-pad. I learned how to change the characters and how to make things move.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because they have different learning skills with a group which both my partner and I did.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how to figure out how to teleport to the next level once you had the key to open the door and have gotten through all of the obstacles. I was able to do it by looking on the little sheet inside on the game board box and going to the website to tell us what to do and how to do it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the theme of the bloxels. The reason why I would change it is because my partner and I don't like Star Wars that much but it was fun to play with and create different challenges.
This project connect to careers in Software Developing. It connects to software developing because software developing is making the mind of programs. Which I had to do by creating the game board then making it connect to the I-pad then it had created a game.
