Reflection
For my project, I created a name tag using a micro bit because it offered a simple yet effective way to express my creativity. I was able to customize the design and incorporate various features, which made the process enjoyable. This project taught me the basics of coding the micro bit, allowing me to explore the intersection of technology and creativity. Overall, it was a great introduction to hands-on coding and design!
During this project, I learned how to code a micro bit, which was an exciting challenge for me. I gained hands-on experience in programming and discovered how to manipulate different code blocks to create my design. This experience not only enhanced my coding skills but also boosted my confidence in using technology creatively. I realized that experimenting and problem-solving are key parts of the coding process, making it both fun and educational. Overall, this project deepened my understanding of coding and its practical applications. I faced a significant challenge while coding the micro bit, as I initially struggled to understand how the different code blocks worked together. To overcome this, I took the initiative to experiment with various coding combinations, which helped me learn through trial and error. This hands-on approach not only improved my coding skills but also taught me the importance of perseverance and creativity in problem-solving. By trying different methods and adapting my strategies, I was able to successfully create my name tag. This experience showed me that challenges can lead to valuable learning opportunities. This project is relevant to the Computer Programming pathway in Hastings High School's CTE program.
