7P7 - "3D Design"

Using Computer, the tinker cad app, iPad, 3d printer, filament, I created a jar with my dogs name on it because I thought it would be pretty useful and fun to make.

During this process, I learned how to make something on the 3d printer.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I came up with something useful and made it by myself. My project also ties to Empowered Learner because I started something and stuck with it until it was finished. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was making the lid the right size for it to fit. I was able to do it by making the lid two layers one being smaller than the either.

Given a chance to do this again, I would make it a little more detailed. The reason why I would change it is because it looks cool but it could be a little more detailed and maybe have more word or something to that effect.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project ties to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School because I design something.
