Ten good Ideas:
Try to make it move.
Go through different designs and find the best one.
Don't put half effort in.
Read directions to know what to do.
Use different shapes to get better parts.
Use reference photos to get more accurate.
Don't rip out the supports when it is printed.
Make different colors to see things better.
Turn off grid snap to get things in the places you want them.
Make pieces the same size.
It did not come out as planned, but was still fun creating it.
Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project? Just a computer.
What is your plan to create in this project? A comb butterfly knife.
What unique qualities will your project have? I made it to be able to connect and move like a real butterfly knife.
Daily Log:
Day 1. I planned.
Day 2. I started my first design.
Day 3. Changed design a few times.
Day 4. I started seeing how things fit.
Day 5. Liked my design just had to finish it.
Day 6. Tested how things went together, and how they functioned.
Using Tinker cad.com, I created a comb butterfly knife because I wanted to cure bordem.
During this process, I learned how to create 3D models.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project tries to be an innovative designer, because my design is my own and not someone else's, I took the mechanics and made my own design.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how many designs it went through. I was able to do it by thinking how it would be when it was done and to get a good grade.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. The reason why I would change it is because it was too small and that was how it didn't work when it was printed.
