Reflection

For my quick 3rd project I decided to use the Sphero Bolt and make it go around the 3 seats. One thing I learned was to make the Bolt go in one direction for a certain time period and than turn at the right moment. The 7 standards of my project is. One being a Empowered Learner this tied to my project because I built networks and customize their learning environments in ways that support the learning process. Two being a Digital Citizen because I engaged in positive, safe, legal, and ethical behavior when using technology. Three being a Knowledge Constructor because I curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions. Four being a Innovative Designer develop, test, and refine prototypes as part of a cyclical design process. Five being a Computational Thinker because I understand ed how automation works and use algorithmic thinking to develop a sequence of steps to create and test automated solutions. Six being a Creative Communicator because I created original works or responsibly re purpose or remix digital resources into new creations. Seven being a Global Collaborator because I used digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, engaging with them in ways that broaden mutual understanding and learning. One challenge I overcame was to decide whether to just let the Sphero keep on hitting the beanbag or to slow it down a bunch but as you can see from the video I kept it as it was hitting the beanbag. Something I did differently would be to go around a smaller object such as a chair. A carrier connection this could tie to could be programming a self driving car in the future.
