Class Standards and Design Thinking
Standards:
In this class, we will be using the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) also known as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards. For each standard, you will write a 3 to 5 sentence paragraph. Please use this link to create your paragraphs.
I, as the learner, am making a choice about my learning. I am making a determination as to whether or not I made my goal. I am using technology and feedback to improve my learning. I can transfer my technology skills from one device to another.
I understand the fact that anything I put on the internet cannot be removed completely and can be found at any time. I make sure to do nothing illegal, unsafe, or unjust with technology. I know how to keep my personal information secure and private from random people on the web.
I can gather research from search engines for informative purposes. I understand how to cite sources properly. I use the internet to do projects.
I can stay on task and stay clear of distracting other people around me. If things get complicated, I can try to come to a solution. I am able to persevere and stay patient while working on my assignments.
I can point out the most crucial information in a problem. I am able to use the power of technology to create models. I can use my brain to find solutions to my problems.
I can choose the best methods to use when sharing my work with peers. I can use segments of other work for my own. I can give credit to authors in a group project.
