I made multiple things but Geofry was by far my favorite (He is my best friend who is a digital giraffe and yes, his name is pronounced "Gee-o-fry" Don't bully him, he has been through too much already. He was raised in an abandoned Subway restaurant in the deep parts of Florida)

Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?: I worked by myself.
What materials will you need?: Makecode, a computer, and a microbit
What do you plan to create in this project?: Many (Useful or not) simple gadgets
What unique qualities will your project have?: One of my projects is a very original digital companion named Geofry
Using a coding program, I created a giraffe named Geofry because I don't have friends.
During this process, I learned how to make a light sensor.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I decided what I was going to create.
A challenge I overcame on this project was a colleague being disruptive. I was able to do it by asking them to be a little bit quieter.
Given a chance to do this again, I would have changed Geofry's name to Jeffery. The reason why I would change it is because Geofry is harder to spell.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Software Programming.
