i was thinking what to do for the project

i made a joint for my robot

i scraped the joint idie and made a floppy robot

i got it done and i waited to print

it printed but i messed up the scalling so it was small and the arm snapped when i was removing the supports

i filmed the video and put it into imovie and finished the project

Using tinker-cad and a 3d printer, I created i little robot guy because i wanted to learn how to 3d print.
During this process, I learned how to sculpt a model in tinker-cad and how to use a 3d printer.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because i was able to make a robot in tinker-cad and print it without help.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the ball and socket joints. I was able to do it by just scrapping the idea and switching to a ring joint.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size and the joints. The reason why I would change it is because the robot was too small and the joint were to brittle.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in additive manufacturing because i could Design, optimize, and manage the 3D printing process for production.
