My Story

The Grinch and Santa Team Up... for a Very Bad Idea

Part 1: An Unusual Meeting

One chilly evening after Christmas, the Grinch was bored.

"I miss all the excitement," he grumbled as he sat on Mount Crumpit.

Meanwhile, Santa was worried. A rumor had spread that a town bank was holding a giant pile of gold meant for a holiday museum exhibit.

When Santa and the Grinch accidentally met in Whoville, the Grinch joked, "We should rob the bank and take the gold!"

To his surprise, Santa laughed and replied, "That's the worst idea I've ever heard."

But the Grinch kept talking, and soon the two were imagining what would happen if they actually tried it.

Part 2: The Crazy Plan

The Grinch drew up a ridiculous plan.

"We'll sneak in at midnight," he said. "I'll wear a fake mustache, and you can pretend to be a janitor."

Santa shook his head. "This is definitely wrong."

Still, curiosity got the better of them, and they decided to see whether the bank's security was really as strong as everyone claimed.

They packed flashlights, maps, and snacks and headed toward town.

Neither of them noticed that Max the dog was secretly following along.

Part 3: Things Go Wrong

As soon as they reached the bank, everything started going wrong.

The Grinch tripped over a garden hose.

Santa got stuck in a revolving door.

Then Max barked loudly, waking up a security guard.

"Who's there?" called the guard.

The Grinch and Santa hid behind a bush, embarrassed.

"This was a terrible idea," Santa whispered.

The Grinch reluctantly agreed.

Part 4: A Surprising Discovery

Before they could leave, they noticed something strange.

Two real thieves were sneaking around the back of the bank.

Unlike Santa and the Grinch, these criminals weren't pretending.

"They actually plan to steal the gold!" said the Grinch.

Santa frowned. "We have to stop them."

Suddenly, their silly adventure became a mission to protect the town.

Part 5: Saving the Bank

The Grinch and Santa sprang into action.

The Grinch used a slingshot to knock a flashlight out of one thief's hand.

Santa called the police and blocked an exit with a giant sack of toys.

The thieves tried to escape but slipped on candy canes that had fallen from Santa's bag.

Within minutes, the police arrived and arrested the criminals.

The bank was safe.

Part 6: The Lesson

The next morning, the mayor thanked Santa and the Grinch.

"You protected the town," she said.

The Grinch scratched his head. "Funny. We started out thinking about doing something bad."

"And we ended up doing something good," Santa replied.

The Grinch smiled.

From then on, whenever he got a wild idea, he asked himself one question:

"Will this help people or hurt them?"

And because of that, he made much better choices.

The End.

Day 1

I created my story, list of ten and answer my planning questions.

Day 2

Stated Designing. Added the grinch and some nature.

Day 3

I finished scene 1 and started scene 2.

Day 4

I got a merge cube and looked at my project through my iPad. I also continued to add the city buildings to scene two.

Day 5

I started and almost finished scene 3.

Day 6

I finished scene 3 and finished scene 4. I also started scene 5.

Day 7

Finished scene 5 and 6. Recorded video of my project and anwsered my reflection questions.

Reflection Questions:

Using iPads, Computers, Delightex, Copilot, and a merge cube, I created a six part story about Santa and the Grinch in Augmented Reality because I couldn;t find any characters other than the grinch and santa. I tried to make a story about mario but they didn't have alll the characters and other thing I needed. So I used copilot to generate a story that I could create on the merge cube.
During this process, I learned how to use delightex and the merge cube. I also learned how to navigate all the parts and pieces in delightex. I had to use tutorials and steps provided to figure some things out.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to _______________________ because ____________________.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to use the delightex and augmented reality. I was able to do it by using the youtube tutorials. I also got some help from other students
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much detail I put into my story and design. The reason why I would change it is because adding so much detail took super long and I had to use time at home to catch up. I would defently change that because it slowed me down and I almost didn't get it done before the due date.

My project connects to the ______________ CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in 3D art because I created a story with many designs and detail using augmented reality. I personally didn't like this project. So I tthink I wouldn't do this job in the future.
