Day 1- I created a skeleton for my volcano out of popsicles sticks.
Day 2- I finished my skeleton then wrapped it in tin foil. Then I began painting.
Day 3- I continued painting then worked on my website.
Day 4- I finished painting.
Day 5- I conducted 3 test trials with a final success eruption.
Day 6- Edit video and website.

Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself on this project.
What materials will you need for your project?
The materials I will be using to build my volcano include popsicle sticks, tin-foil, hot glue, and paint. To make the eruption I'm going to use red food coloring, baking soda, and vinegar.
What is your plan to create in this project?
First I will build a skeleton out of popsicle sticks. Then I plan to wrap it in tin-foil. Next, I will use brown paint to color Mount. Sandler. Finally I will create and film the successful explosion.
What unique qualities will your project have?
One of the unique qualities of my creation will be the pie crust pan used to catch the bubbles from the eruption.
Using popsicle sticks, tin-foil, hot glue, and paint. As well as red food coloring, baking soda, and vinegar, I created a baking soda island volcano because I wanted to learn how to use green screen and making these volcanos was one of my favorite activities in elementary science class.
During this process, I learned how to use green screen on iMovie.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because of my ability to correctly use green screen.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the cute not sticking to the pie crust pan. I was able to do it by lessening the pressure on the popsicle sticks.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amounts of baking soda and vinegar. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't have exact measurements so it took multiple test trials to get a successful eruption.
