Day 1- On the first day I built my website. Then I chose to make a tote bag as my project. Then I cut my fabric and pinned it so it was even. Finally, I did test patch so I knew how the machine worked.
Day 2- I sewed my bag together. Then I sewed my handle and spent the rest of my our turning it right side out.
Day 3- I spent the day sewing my handle to the bag. Then I cut stray threads. Finally I took photos and my video.
Day 4- I'm working on resewing the handle on my bag, one of the handles came apart from the bag. Then I edited my video. Finally I worked on my website.

Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I will be working on this project with Kalaiah McCrakin.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need fabric, thread, and a sewing machine.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan to first plan what kind of bag I want to make, Then choose a fabric. Then, I want to make a practice strip so i know how to use the machine before moving on to larger pieces of fabric. Finally, I'll sew my bag.
What unique qualities will your project have?
A unique quality I hope to achieve is including soft clean seam work on the bag.
Using a sewing machine, fabric, and thread, I created a tote bag because I needed a bag to carry books and pencils to class.
During this process, I learned how to you a sewing machine and how to create seams.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what and how to do my project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my handle breaking off the bag I was able to do it by resewing the handle with a different stich. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the handle. The reason why I would change it is because of the uneven nature of the seams.
